The outfield behind him dissolves into green watercolor. Murakami is at full extension, bat still traveling, "PICTURESQUE" set in gold script beneath and "SWALLOWS | 55 | IF" below that. BBM stopped photographing the swing and painted it instead.

Murakami's swing is violent and technically beautiful at the same time — a compact load into a follow-through that finishes almost vertically. Picturesque is the only card in this collection that treats it as a subject rather than a record.
